Battery Care
To ensure maximum battery life ensure the Battery Pack is fully discharged then fully charged before first use. The charging control in the Charger prevents excessive charging of the Battery Pack. Continual partial charge and
partial discharge will gradually reduce the capacity of the Battery Pack. To maintain
maximum battery capacity try to ensure that the battery is both fully charged and then fully discharged as often as possible.
Using the Battery Pack
USING THE BATTERY PACK
1. Locate the plug in the left hand pocket of the Bodywarmer and plug it into the Battery Pack.
This is the pocket that the Battery Pack will be stored in during use.
2. To SWITCH ON press the ON/UP button for one second, the number “1” will be displayed
on the LED screen. This is the default setting. It will take a few minutes to feel the heat.
3. To ADJUST THE TEMPERATURE press the ON/UP button to increase the heat. Press the
OFF/DOWN button to decrease the heat. There are five heat levels 1 [low] to 5 [high].
In normal conditions level 2-3 should provide adequate warmth.
4. To SWITCH OFF press and hold the OFF/DOWN button for one second.
5. To operate the LED flashlight press and hold the ON/UP key for two seconds. To switch off
press and hold the OFF/DOWN button for two seconds. (Do not look directly at the light).
Charging the Battery Pack
When using the Battery Pack for the first time or after an extended storage period, completely
discharge the battery pack by connecting it to the X4 Bodywarmer and setting to level 5.
Once discharged plug the charger into a mains outlet and connect to the Battery Pack.
The initial charge may take up to 3 hours (2200mAh) or 6 hours (4400mAh). Subsequent charges
should take around 2 hours (2200mAh) or 4 hours (4400mAh) from a total discharged state.
Note the LED on the Charger will show red while charging and green when charging is complete.
